Working with an Arduino

Our classroom has a set of Sparkfun Inventor’s Kits.  Below are links to the necessary software and drivers to get everything working on a Mac.  (If you use a different platform, like linux, or windows, search for the phrases below and append the name of your OS!)

This software should work with most any arduino-like microcontroller.

To get it working we will need to download 2 things:

The Arduino Integrated Developer Environment (How we can tell the redboard what to do.)

The FTDI USB Drivers (So the computer can talk to the redboard.)(Windows version here)

Other useful information:

MicroController Lab instructions are here.

The Inventors Kit guide (This has all of the steps, and programs that you will need to upload to the redboard.)
